The "Meloi" Restaurant - Cafe in Meloi beach of Patmos Island

The restaurant - tavern - cafe "Meloi" is my favourite restaurant in Patmos. It is a restaurant which serves traditional Greek cuisine and for me was a very pleasant surprise. Meloi restaurant is a classic family business with a long tradition that goes back in time, and even today three generations still cover different positions here, from cooking to the service.

Meloi beach is very close to Skala, Patmos main port (you can walk to whet your appetite and later return back on foot to digest as well). Otherwise you can travel by car, you can be there in just a few minutes by car while there is space for parking at the back of the beach.

In Meloe restaurant you will find excellent cooked food that would make many experienced chefs blush from shame (I have crushed all the traditional Greek oily meals) and of course hot dishes of a variety of meat and fish. All in a green environment overlooking the sea view with portions that fill you up and at great prices.

I try with great difficulty to find a negative element to tell you about my favourite restaurant in Patmos, I could tell you that even now (during 2015) unfortunately it does not offer a WiFi hot spot. But I am sure that I will persuade them to set one up. At least mobile phones have a very good signal in Meloe, therefore you will not have to deal with any communication problems.
